Welcome to Explosive Moves trading newsletter! We specialize in ETF trading strategies, stock picks and stock option picks. Let’s face it. We look for trading set ups and obtain professional analysis on a large range of ETFs, stocks and stock options. We look for trade setups using common indicators with our settings to match this analysis. We only show a small group of trades in our back test since there are too many trades to review just for the purpose of verifying that the trading strategies we use are sound. Once you download our Six Secrets To Explosive Moves which explains in part, how we find these nice little nuggets, you’ll understand why and how our strategy can be applied to most ETF picks, stock picks, or option picks.

Here’s a quick overview of some of the trading concepts the we use to look for trades that may be ready for an Explosive Move:
We typically look for stocks, options and ETFs that are strongly correlated with the overall market. Basically, we don’t want to go against the market. We prefer not to stand in front of a freight train. We watch the SPY closely each day to see what the market is doing, along with obtaining good market analysis, and find the set ups we feel put the odds in our favor.

Tops & Bottoms Oscillator
When our oscillator approaches extreme overbought and oversold values, we know a market turn is coming soon. Think of “overbought” and “oversold” like elastic being stretched to its limits. When released the elastic will inevitably snap back to its original shape. The accuracy of a properly set up oscillator can be remarkable in predicting market tops and bottoms.

Divergence
Divergence is a critical component of trading. When these indicators are doing the opposite of what the market is doing, we look for the market to change direction, and we start looking for trade set ups.

Profit Forecast
If you have traded for any period of time, you’ve probably had the experience of being on the right side of the trade only to discover that the predicted “big move” was nothing more than a tiny blip. A day or two later the stock, options or ETF simply resumed its meandering pattern. We use several sources to help us to develop a profit forecast which helps us avoid trades that show little profit potential and highlights trades that are ready to explode to the upside or collapse to the downside. Most of us have limited capital so we want to avoid tying it up with trades that don’t move quickly and aggressively.
Money Flow & Buy / Sell Volume
Knowing whether big money is flowing into or out of the market is essential for trading and investing effectively. The market may be running up, but if big money if flowing out of the market, chances are the rally won’t be sustained for long. By using a Buy / Sell Volume indicator, it aids us in exactly what we need to know in real-time.
Smart Money & Block Trades
We keep a close eye on the big players in the market. They can move the market with their huge orders. They try to keep their block trades secret, but it is hard for them not to tip their hand as there are now sites that show these block trades and of course normal volume indicators that show spikes that provide this at a glance.

Short Squeeze
A short squeeze is when traders and investors are short a stock or ETF and start losing money. They start covering and closing their positions as a result of feeling “squeezed.” With fewer orders on the short side, this essentially removes much of the resistance the stock is experiencing. The stock can explode to the upside very quickly.
